Marla Merkle

Marla Merkle is Vice President of Compliance & Care Coordination at Rainfall Health. She leads the company's enterprise wide compliance program and the operational systems that connect patients, providers, and post-acute partners under CMS TEAM. She owns the internal compliance strategy, the policies, the risks, and the controls across the organization for the full suite of compliance standards. Marla collaborates cross-functionally with teams such as Engineering, Product, Customer Success, Clinical Implementation, and Sales to align efforts around customer satisfaction and long-term retention.

She brings more than 25 years building high-performing, accredited care coordination teams at the intersection of healthcare, social services, and technology. At Unite Us, she served as Senior Director of Social Care Coordination, generating $9M in annual recurring revenue over two years while maintaining employee engagement above 90%, and earlier scaled a consumer-facing social services team from 4 to 50 people supporting product lines where she lead the development, generating $1.6M+ in first-year revenue.

Before Unite Us, Marla spent six years as Director of NC 211 at United Way of Asheville & Buncombe County, transforming the service model into a whole-person care approach and authoring Buncombe County's Homeless Coordinated Assessment plan. She holds a Bachelor's in Cultural Anthropology with a Business concentration from Appalachian State University where she co-authored and edited academic work.
